Farali snacks play by a specific set of rules: no onion, no garlic, no regular table salt, just sendha namak, or rock salt, because they're made for fasting days like Navratri and other vrat observances. That said, plenty of our customers eat these year-round, simply because they're good, clean-tasting snacks in their own right. Banana Wafer and Potato Wafers are the simplest expressions here, thin, crisp, lightly salted, letting the base ingredient do the talking. Sabudana Khichdi and Sabudana Farali both use tapioca pearls, a fasting-diet staple, prepared two different ways: one closer to traditional khichdi, the other drier and more snackable. Tikha Farali Chevdo and Mola Farali Chevdo give you spicier and milder takes on the same chevdo base, so there's an option whether you want heat or something gentler on a fasting stomach. Alu Lachha brings a finer, more delicate potato texture into the mix. We're particular about the frying here, too thick and it goes soft, too thin and it burns, and we hold that standard year-round, not just ahead of festival season when demand spikes.
